FieldPulse is an all-in-one field service management platform aimed at small and mid-sized trade contractors, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical and appliance repair. It bundles scheduling and dispatch, customer records, estimates and invoicing, job management, timesheets and reporting into one system, with a mobile app that field techs use to update jobs in real time. The pitch is a single place to run the office and the field without stitching together separate tools.

Where it differs from lighter tools like Jobber or Housecall Pro is breadth. FieldPulse layers on optional add-ons that push it toward the ServiceTitan end of the market: a built-in VoIP phone system (Engage), an Operator AI booking assistant, fleet tracking, a pricebook, and its own payments and consumer financing. That lets a growing shop consolidate onto one vendor, but it also means the real monthly cost depends heavily on which add-ons you switch on rather than the base seat price alone.

Who FieldPulse is for

FieldPulse fits small to mid-sized HVAC and trade shops, roughly 3 to 30 techs, that have outgrown a spreadsheet or a basic scheduler and want office and field on one platform. It suits owners who like the idea of adding phone, payments and financing from the same vendor over time. It is a weaker fit for very large enterprises that need deep custom dashboards and heavy KPI reporting, and for data-driven operations managers, since reporting depth is a recurring complaint. Canadian contractors should test payment and financing limits carefully before committing.

Strengths and limitations

What it does well

  • Consolidates scheduling, dispatch, CRM, estimates, invoicing and timesheets in one platform, so a growing shop can drop several separate tools.
  • Optional add-ons (Engage VoIP phone system, Operator AI booking, fleet tracking, pricebook, payments and consumer financing) let you expand on one vendor instead of integrating third parties.
  • The field technician mobile app rates strongly with reviewers for real-time job updates and day-to-day usability.
  • Responsive in-app chat support is one of the most consistently praised aspects across G2 and Capterra reviews.
  • Offers lower-cost field-only seats alongside full-access back-office seats, so you do not pay full price for every technician.
  • Integrates with QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Xero, CompanyCam and Zapier for photo sync, accounting and wider automation.

Where it falls short

  • Reporting is the most consistent power-user complaint: you can pull job history, revenue by period and basic tech performance, but custom dashboards and deep KPI filtering are limited.
  • The QuickBooks web connector is widely cited as unreliable, creating duplicate entries and failing to sync consistently, which forces manual cleanup.
  • The native integration library is narrower than Jobber's; beyond QuickBooks and a few payment processors you often need Zapier-style middleware.
  • Reviewers report frequent bugs, glitches and occasional lag during peak usage.
  • Permission settings lack granularity, for example Team Managers cannot create forms, and the Operator AI has been described as less accurate than advertised.

FieldPulse pricing

FieldPulse does not publish prices. It sells three named tiers, Essentials, Professional and Enterprise, on a per-seat model, with full-access seats for office staff and cheaper field-only seats for techs. Enterprise adds multi-location management and Open API access. Expect a custom quote after a demo; there is no free trial. The base seat price is only part of the cost, since VoIP (Engage), Operator AI, fleet tracking, pricebook, FieldPulse Payments and FieldPulse Financing are all priced separately as add-ons. Because it is per-user, the monthly bill scales quickly as you add techs, a point reviewers raise for growing crews.

Integrations

  • QuickBooks Online
  • QuickBooks Desktop
  • Xero
  • MYOB
  • CompanyCam
  • Zapier
  • Google Calendar

Verdict

FieldPulse is a strong pick for a growing HVAC or trades shop of roughly 3 to 30 techs that wants office and field on one platform and likes the option to add phone, payments and financing from the same vendor later. Look elsewhere if you need deep custom reporting and dashboards, or if a rock-solid QuickBooks sync is non-negotiable. Get a written quote that includes any add-ons you plan to use, because the per-seat base price understates the real cost.
